FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are there courses already available that I can take?
We work with partners to run courses at different times and in different locations. Check out the “Our locations” section of our website to see where courses are currently happening and coming up.
What language are Sky School courses in?
All of our courses are currently in English and we require students to have a lower intermediate level of English to take part in our programmes. We have developed a course called “English for Changemakers” which enables students with a pre-intermediate level of English to access Sky School and other courses. On-site facilitators usually speak several languages and will be there to support you if you don’t understand something.
What does it cost to take a Sky School course?
All of our courses are free for students to attend.
When and where will the high school diploma programme be available? Can I apply now?
We are finalising the development of the Sky School high school diploma programme and will launch it in Jordan and Kenya in early 2020. We will update the website when applications are live.
What happens when I take a short programme with Sky School?
Short programmes enable you to build your skills and understanding of a specific area (e.g. Peace-building, Social Entrepreneurship) over the course of 10 weeks. When you complete a short programme, you will receive an official certificate of participation (which you may of course add to a CV, or list in a job/school application).
I want to run Sky School programmes in my community. How can I work with you?
We work with partners around the world who run Sky School courses, and we are always interested in hearing from organisations whose missions are aligned to our own. To learn more about becoming an implementing partner, please visit this page.
How can I help?
