Since 2015 more than 1 million refugees reached Greece. Most of them relocated to other parts of Europe, while around 60 00 remained in Greece. Often being too old to enrol in Greek education system, educational possibilities for displaced youth are scarce.

In Athens Sky School connected with ELIX in November 2017. This Greek Non-Governmental Organisation committed to promote personal development and everyone's evolution as citizen of the world through active participation in public life. ELIX has supported and educated more than 10,000 people to participate in innovative actions in Greece. ELIX has organized projects, which allowed more than 2,500 refugee children, and their parents, to gain access to a flexible and reliable framework offering non-formal educational activities, such as courses of Greek, English, Mother Tongue, Mathematics, Civic Education and Life Skills. We share the vision of enhancing refugees’ potential with education.
