Sky School courses are run in Amman, where displaced youth is in need of education opportunities. 30% of all refugees in Jordan reside in the capital and Sky School courses are helpful with the complex process of integration in the host community.
In Jordan Sky School partnered up with Ahlan World in 2017. Ahlan World is an Arabic language centre in Amman, which enables foreign language to be a tool as well as encourages greater understanding between cultures.
Courses in Amman are run by our passionate course facilitators.
Sky School is going to be running two courses this fall in Amman.

PEACE-BUILDING IN YOUR COMMUNITY
This course looks at ways you can build peace in your communities. You will learn about ideas relating to peace and will explore the reasons for conflicts on a local and global level. You will also learn about ways to resolve conflicts, and will gain skills in communication, listening and team building. Finally, you will create and do an activity to work towards to building peace in your community.
IDENTITY, ARTS AND CULTURE
In this course, you will learn how to read and write the arts - and use arts as a way to understand the world and express yourself. The course considers what 'art' is within a community, and what the role of art really is. You will also explore individual and cultural identities, and understand ways that art can express cultural interactions. During the course, you will also look at ways to make and explains how a work of art explores cultural interactions in the community.
